Overview |
All classes are held at the "Dance Center" located
inside Rocky Hill Middle School (22401 Brick Haven Way - one mile north
of Milestone) in Clarksburg, Maryland, to children ages 3-18 years, for
beginners to advanced levels. This building offers students a
dance room with mirrors, barres, high ceilings, and wonderful hard wood
flooring for a spectacular dancing experience. Classes begin in early
September and continue for 30 weeks, concluding with a full costumed
recital on stage at a local high school in early June. Class sizes are
limited to 12 students. No summer classes are taught.

Policies |
|
|
Dance with
DeAnne
will follow the closures in Montgomery County
for inclement weather and national holidays.
Call the studio if in doubt.
|
|
|
No gum, candy,
or cough drops
while dancing. Hair must be secured away
from face. Dance skirt is allowed over leotard.
|
|
|
If any injury (no
matter how minor) has occurred prior to dance
class, notify the teacher of the extent of
injury and any recommendation by the doctor.
|
|
|
Small children
should use the restroom before class begins. All students must be toilet trained!
|
|
|
Bring proper shoes
to each lesson. Wear suggested dance attire to
ensure ease of movement. Label all attire and
dance shoes with student’s name or initials.
Jewelry kept to a bare minimum. No hoop
earrings. |

|
“Observation Day”
is schedule for the end of each ten week session
which parents are encouraged to see dancer’s
progress. |
|
|
An annual recital
on stage at a local high school in
early June. A separate performance fee is due the first week of January to
participate with classmates.

|
|
This activity is
not sponsored by, or associated with, or
endorsed by, Mont. County Schools or Montgomery
County government. |

Attire |
|
|
Preschool: Same as
ballet for girls or ballet for boys. Both
ballet and tap shoes needed.
|
|
|
Girls Ballet/Tap:
Classical black short sleeve leotard, theatrical
pink seamless tights, pink ballet slippers with
elastic strap, and black tap shoes.
|
|
|
Jazz:
Same attire as ballet, “Dance with DeAnne” tee
shirt, bike shorts, or dance spandex pants with
black jazz oxford laced shoes. No jazz boots.
No blue jeans!

Boys: “Dance with
DeAnne” tee shirt, black shorts/sweats; white
socks, black ballet slippers with elastic and
black tap laced shoes. |
